One evening, C was trying to get Noah ready for bed but the little boy was having none of it. He was still bouncing around on our bed (Noah, not C) and lunging for C’s handphone and spectacles whenever he felt like it.
C was exhausted from it all and asked the baby…
“为什么你那么热闹？”
(热闹 is a phrase usually used to describe a place bustling with activity, and definitely not used to describe people.)
This is why we worry that Noah won’t be able to cope with Chinese when he goes to school!
